1. We carry both the glitter style lamp and the classic wax lamps.  Glitter lamps take only a few minutes to get flowing and are great for younger kids or people who don't have patience to wait!
2. Classic lava lamps are slower to get started, often around 1hr to get full flowing lava... we recommend using a timer (like a Christmas light timer) that turns the lamp on in the early evening and then off again late at night to give you lava when you need it!
3. The first time you plug in a classic lava lamp it will take up to 4hrs to get going... after that it will get faster, but will always take at least 1hr to get flowing.  This is due to the safety regulations that keep the lamp cooler than my 90's lava lamp!
