Micro Scooters
These scooters are incredible! They are built to survive our tough weather and won't have that familiar death rattle that so many cheaper models end up with. These will be handed down to younger siblings and cousins and are absolutely worth the investment
Now the big question: Two wheels or Three?
At Age 1-4, you'll definitely want to take advantage of the sturdy three wheel scooters (either the Mini or the Maxi depending on a child's height and weight)
After Age 5, its more about the style of riding. I prefer the three wheel style of steering which is leaning to steer like a skateboard or snowboard. Others prefer the more classic two wheel style like a bike.
After age 9, I'd bet that kids will begin to feel the peer pressure of needing to look like a big kid and ride a two wheel, but just for perspective... I personally ride a 3 wheel and prefer it WAY more than the 2 wheel... It's all about personal preference.
